Publishing Online/Syndicating Content
Publishing online was a unit of study in our Exploring Tech class in which we made a blog of our own using Google Blogger as well as making a wiki site using Wiki Foundry service, creating a Wikipedia page, and also making this website. Our wiki was to be on various topics researched by kids in our class. I personally had to research Arbor Day. Then we had to pick multiple other topics to include on our Wiki site relating to our main topic and spruce up the site with color etc.

Blog Catalog is exactly what the name implies, it is a Catalog of blogs. You can find a blog on just about any topic you want on this site.
RSS and Podcast

My Yahoo, Bloglines, and Google Reader are all popular web-based feed readers. Once you have your Feed Reader, it is a matter of finding sites that syndicate content and add their RSS feed to your list of RSS feeds that your reader checks for you. These can be about various topics which interest you. A podcast is an episode of a program available on the internet, which is usually an audio or video recording. I was unable to upload a copy of any of my audio files due to free Weebly account restrictions.
In class we searched for various websites with RSS Feeds available to subscribe to. We also created a Bloglines as well as an Alltop account to read RSS Feeds. Folowing all of this we created an audio file to put on our blog in order to introduce it as well as creating our own children's audio book using the software called Audacity. We also spent time listening to various Podcasts online.

Syndicating ContentSyndicating Content was a unit we had in which we syndicated content or published our blog, site, or video content out into third-party sites. For this unit we added an RSS Feed to our blog site and explored some other RSS feeds, etc. We also used programs such as bloglines and other RSS feed readers such as Alltop. We also discussed you-tube and various other sites that can have things uploaded to them.
Syndicating content basically means sharing your "content" with the rest of the world, by putting it out there for them to see and use for their own interest or benefit. This can range from a you-tube video upload to a blog post, etc.
