Video Production
For the Video Production unit, we created a newscast in the library video production room in our school's library. We were put into groups in class and had to produce our own news topics/scripts. We then had to edit the clips we taped to make our own edited newscast to turn in using Movie Maker. We even had to divide it into segments. We also produced a video of a day in the life of a average teenager. We had to take pictures throughout our day and put them into a slideshow on Windows Live Movie Maker (which is actually really slow). We also did a teaching video where we had to teach people how to do a skill or hobby as well as a screen-cast and some other little practice videos to help us learn how to edit. Here are some screen-shots of our newscast since I could not put the actual video up.
Screencasting
For the screen-casting unit, we used a site called Screen-cast-o-Matic to create our screen-cast. We had to pick a program or something we could teach someone else how to use or do on the computer. For this project, I chose to use the music program Spotify. I tought the viewer how to download it and some of the basics of how to use it for its intended use as a music player that can be very personalized. The screencast was only supposed to be 3-4 minutes, but that really was not enough time for me to cover what I wanted to, that's why it is 7 minutes. Here is my screen-cast. I actually made one with music and one without.
Below is the one without Music in the background the whole time. Also no title.
